Cameron Archer is one of D.C.’s most talented up-and-coming jewelry designers with her line Saint Clair. In February we gave you a behind-the-scenes look on her shoot for Issue 5 featuring her latest hand-made designs. No one could have predicted that less than a month after that shoot, Archer’s row house in NW D.C. would burn down from an electrical fire along with everything she owned, including her jewelry and materials. Immediately, the D.C. creative community came together to save Archer’s jewelry line putting on fundraisers, selling handmade necklaces, and sponsoring yoga classes to raise enough money for Archer to pick up where she left off.
This month Worn Magazine reunited with a newly invigorated Saint Clair to shoot a look book for her new spring line. With our Issue 4 cover model Kate Greene modeling, our new Fashion Director Beth Silverberg styling, and Worn EIC Nicole Aguirre shooting, it was a coming together of female creativity at a technicolor former church in SW DC.
Ana Butraigo created a Cara Deleveigne-inspired smokey eye complete with brown shadows and false eyelashes to bring out Kate’s intensely blue eyes.
Ana applies false eyelashes so that the makeup translates as intensely as we want it to on camera.
Roche Salon in Georgetown created a flawless look for Kate’s hair while Ana B made her up with a Cara Deleveigne-inspired smokey eye. The complete look book will not be released for another couple of weeks, but here is the first look of behind the scenes images from the prep at Roche Salon before the shoot.
